ESG Workforce: Skills Agenda & Action in the Global Workforce

To build a sustainable future, organisations must recognise the importance of developing green skills and invest in initiatives that support the development of those skills. They must also take a comprehensive and integrated approach that considers sustainability education, training, and development as part of their operations from entry-level to executive leadership roles.

By working together and sharing best practices, we can create a thriving ecosystem of green skills development that boosts the transition to a sustainable economy.

We are delighted to be hosting ESG Workforce: Skills Agenda & Action in the Global Workforce at our Deloitte Aberdeen office. We will be joined by a diverse panel of workforce, talent and industry aligned experts to engage in discussion and take questions from stakeholders, leaders, and employers from across the industry and public sector.

The half-day programme will comprise of 2 sessions – you are welcome to sign-up for either or both and to join us for some lunch* and networking. Please see information below:

Session 1 - ESG Workforce: Skills Agenda

The transition to a sustainable workforce is already underway. Green skills will soon be business-as-usual; part of every job every day, much as digital has become. The next decade presents us with unprecedented opportunities, and the sooner we develop these new skills the better.

We’re delighted to be joined by some of Deloitte’s leaders in Net Zero & Transformation to discuss the green skills workforce agenda, alongside Shell U.K Ltd who will also provide insight from an energy industry employer’s perspective on the skills agenda.

Session 2 - ESG Workforce: Action in the Global Workforce

Against the backdrop of the global race for talent, organisations are looking to HR, Talent Acquisition and Global Mobility professionals to take steps to help them access and incentivise the talent they need. Knowing where to start and how to progress this can be complex. So, the purpose of this session is to share and discuss tangible actions which can deliver impact in the broader talent landscape. Colleagues from Deloitte’s Global Workforce, Employment Tax and Mobility teams will lead the discussion.
