Register your interest to attend

The Retail Finance Club brings together senior finance professionals from listed and private retailers across the UK. The club is run by Deloitte subject matter experts who will share their insight and perspectives on key topics for retail finance leaders.

On this next meeting our speakers will be focussing on driving bottom line improvement, through sustainable cost reduction and minimising losses.

Sustainable cost optimisation – Retailers continue to face a difficult trading environment post pandemic. But despite the challenges they face, many are prioritising sustainable, profitable growth this year and beyond. For many, this starts with a focus on optimising their operating model and cost base.

  • Join Tej Gill, a director in our Value Creation Services team, who will explore typical operational performance improvement levers based on our experience of the sector, as well as techniques and tools to identify and quantify potential initiatives and benefits.

Loss identification and analysis – with margins being squeezed, there is an increased focus on identifying and minimising losses, across a broad range of topics including fraud, wastage, shrink etc.

  • Join James Meadowcroft a director in our Consumer Risk Advisory team, who focusses on fraud, loss prevention and effective controls, as well as Tom Harris who leads our Consumer Analytics practice who will discuss the latest trends and areas of focus within the sector and how the effective use of data analytics is vital in reducing losses.
