Deloitte Alumni Network

News from the firm this month

Dear Alumni,

What’s the secret to performing at your best? And how can we nurture our teams to bring out the best in them?

Everyone has the potential to thrive, develop and succeed based on their individual talent. Prioritising human performance and focusing on an individual’s strengths, perspective and personality can maximise the impact they can make in their roles.

In this newsletter, we look at how we can improve our own performance, and the performance of others, through leadership skills and by nurturing talent. You can listen to our latest Green Room Podcast where we discuss if you can be kind and high-performing; read our 2024 Global Human Capital Trends report on how to prioritise human performance; or register for one of the few remaining places at our ‘Exploring Senior Leadership’ event with alumna Penny Scott-Bayfield, CFO of Bloomsbury Publishing.

We also share with you the first of our Boomerang films where Nina, an Assistant Director in Talent and Learning in our Aberdeen office, speaks about why she wanted to return to Deloitte – for the people she works with.

And if you’re in a position to introduce talent to Deloitte, please take a look at our Alumni Talent Scout Referral Scheme, where you could be eligible to receive a referral fee. You can find out more on our newly launched Deloitte Alumni webpage.

Finally, do take a look at the four alumni networking opportunities this autumn. I hope to see you at one or more of these events

Best wishes

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” It’s a famous saying, and it sounds simple enough. But is it? And is there room for it at work when there’s pressure to perform your best? David Beeny, Founder of Breaking the Silence, and Elizabeth Hampson, a Life Sciences and Health Partner at Deloitte, ask what role do leaders play in cultivating healthy environments where people can thrive and reach their potential?
